Patrick had his swimming carnival today at Riverside Pool.

Luckily we had a lovely, warm day as yesterday was blowing a gale and quite cold.
Patrick came 3rd in Backstroke
Second in the freestyle
and 1st in the breaststroke

This pool is 33 metres, and it's longer than where they practice, and where they usually swim, so they all did extra well to finish their races.

Mum and I went and watched and were both really impressed - not only with Patrick's swimming, but with the way he conducted himself the whole time. He was sensible even though others were being silly, he listened to the staff, cheered his team on and encouraged others to go in the races.

He's no longer my little boy, but I am thrilled to see what a fantastic young man he's becoming!
To top off an excellent day, Patrick's house Sea came first winning by only 16 points, and as I said to Patrick, his participation and fantastic effort helped get them over the line!

I can totally see Patrick being sensible and a lovely young man. Good on you Paddy!!! A mum couldn't ask for anything more :)
Please don't grow up too fast Patrick.
I echo your Mum's word.
Lots of love Nanna
