I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Patrick and Lauren for not being on time! Both were due on August 28th - one year apart (yeah I know - not planned)! Fortunately Patrick was one week early and born on August 21st 1999, and Lauren was one week late and born on September 4th 2000, leaving a weekend - this weekend - in between to have their party on. As we will be in sunny Queensland next week, we had 13 kids, and 8 or so adults here to celebrate both birthdays with an afternoon tea. It's funny that Patrick has NEVER been known for being early since - quite the opposite -and Lauren is always early and certainly never late for anything! Speaking of opposites - as you can tell by the photos - they certainly were! Patrick was bald and had very little hair until he was about 2, and Lauren - well, lets just say she had an impressive head of hair from day one (no laughing Mum and Carmel!).
With another year of presents, cakes and parties over, I'm ready for bed! The kids however, are still bouncing off the walls!
WOO-HOO bring on the finals!!!

oh I forgot how much hair Lauren had! Soooo cute. You were very lucky that their birthdays were spread two weeks apart in the end. I'm coming to QLD in your suitcase!

The first glimpse of Lauren and all that hair is etched in my memory forever. She has certainly grown into a lovely young girl - very considerate and caring.
