We had another beautiful Spring day here in sunny Launnie today, which makes a nice change for the kids athletics carnival day. Last year it was super windy, and the year before there was snow on the mountain and it was freezing. Carter has a big sleep most days from 9.30/10 until 2/2.30p.m. but today kindly woke early and we were able to catch Lauren running the relay and importantly for Patrick, give them a ride home early instead of catching the bus back to school after all day competing! Both Patrick and Lauren did really well and I'm really proud of how many events they went in this year.
The carnival is held at the South Launceston Football Club ground which is great as it has the stands out of the sun (and wind and rain) - beats the old days when we sat on the hot oval all day and got burnt to a crisp every year!
Carter cheered his heart out and "our" team Sea were winners on the day.
