The Grade 6 classes at Lauren school hold an annual Easter Raffle to raise money for their end of year dinner. Like last year, we bought 3 books of tickets and sold some to family and friends, and also donated some chocolate for the prizes. Last year Patrick got 3rd prize and I got 11th but had gestational diabetes and couldn't eat even one! Patrick - not known for his good sharing when it comes to chocolate, should have been more generous because this year I got 8th prize (of 8) and Lauren clearly remembered me saying that I would give it to her if I won (as a lesson to Patrick!). Kind girl that she is, she did share a few eggs with him this year (not bad considering it was ME who won them!) The bag included two big bunnies, 14 egg sized eggs and a bag of solid eggs. Out of 700+ tickets sold, I think we did pretty well (again:)
Poor Nanna however, missed out again despite buying quite a few tickets. It's OK though Mum, Carter will be in Grade 6 in 2024 - you can try again then :)
