...December!
Finally, it's here! We don't just count down to Christmas here, we count down until we can start the Christmas Countdown! Lauren has been asking me for weeks -"is it December yet?", knowing full well it's not, but still hoping it might come early this year. Patrick's just counting down to the end of school - has been since about June.
Last year we got Patrick a Lego advent calendar and Lauren got a bag of rocks. This year we got a Lego one for them both. They arrived from the Lego Club last week and finally it's time to start opening them. I love them especially as it means no battles about chocolate before breakfast (as with the usual chocolate advent calendars) and they have something to keep after opening each window - pieces of Lego and little Lego people to add to their collection! Now that Santa has been "outed", it's nice to have something to start the excitement of the Christmas season with.
* We get them through the Lego Club the kids are members of.

oh wow - what awesome advent calendars!! Did you have to order them and where from?
Lisa, the kids are members of the Lego Club and get a magazine and little Lego people every few months - we joined at Toy World by buying two Lego products (Myer do it too) and we order the calendars through there. They are not cheap - $24 dollars - but have cool Lego in them each day!
wow that's not cheap at all, but a cute idea.
