It doesn't get any fresher than that!

There's nothing like fresh vegies from your own garden. In the past we've grown a variety of vegies including spinach, broccoli, cabbages, carrots, cauliflowers, pumpkins and other "regulars" we have every year like lettuce, tomatoes and parsley. This Summer, we've just finished lettuces, and have tomatoes, zucchini, parsley and capsicums. I thought Shayne was mad buying capsicums for a Tassie garden, but they are thriving and should be ready to pick in a week or so. Luckily not long after he planted them we had some unusually warm weather in early November (didn't last long) and we've had some really warm days and nights lately which they seem to like. Yesterday I went out and picked fresh Lebanese zucchinis for a zucchini quiche for tea! I love having a garden and the kids have enjoyed it over the years too.
Now we just need some rain!
I can't wait to try the capsicums - there are heaps of them!
Last year we had a bad tomato crop, but the year before I made heaps of sauce, and hope to this year as it looks like a bumper crop again.
The Lebanese zucchini are little and very pale green - almost white - and really tasty.
I also got a mushroom kit for Christmas, so next month we'll be picking our own mushrooms as well. It's great for the kids watching the whole process, and they both really enjoy it.
We're already planning what we are going to plant next!

Kylie, I picked 23 cucumbers out of out hot house yesterday, and I haven't even looked today.
Your tomatoes look great, ours look miserable, but we have had heaps of raspberries, and we have just replanted some more green beans.
