More freebies, and a VERY good cause!

There are MANY reasons I donate blood - not least of which the fantastic milkshakes and biscuits afterwards! This year is year of the blood donor, and being a frequent donor and donating 3 times this year, I received a first aid kit as a "thank you". Most donors donate every 12 weeks but, as I have the very versatile (and quite uncommon) O-, I donate every 10 weeks. Due to illness this year, I have only donated 3 times, with my next donation due early January (we had lots of viruses and gastro so obviously can't donate if you are not 100% well). There are people who donate platelets (just the white blood cells) every fortnight, but again, because of my blood type, they need the whole blood from me. If you've ever wondered about it, why not find out more? It's simple, painless, takes approximately 1/2 an hour of your day (and you get free parking here in Launceston), and it makes you feel REALLY good!

I'm O- too. I started donating blood about 4 years ago to get over my fear of needles!

It's a great cause! :) O- people are clearly the best! ;) If you go too long without getting in touch with them, I've found that they call, begging! Plllleeeeease bring your precious golden blood! :)

I'm obliged.

We ARE the best Alison - we just have to watch All Saints to know how popular we are! It is a great cause and more people need to do it.
