Last year, there was no people's choice vote, and the winner at each of the shopping centres was announced as a finalist while the photos were still on display. They then went into the national final which was judged soon after. I just assumed that the winner of the people's choice at each centre would get into the national finals, and from the 59 centre finalists Australia wide, they would choose a national winner. Who knows how they did it, but I wish they would go back to how they did it last year as it seems much fairer! We still don't know who won the people's choice at Meadow Mews, but I'd imagine the winner has been notified. Thanks to everyone who voted for the lovely Sassy Cat and hopefully we'll get another chance next year!

Smile with Centro National Winner...
This is the photo (below) that won the National Smile With Centro Photo Competition - and $10,000!
We were led to believe that the finalist would be announced by November 11th, and I read on a blog that the winner had been announced already, so emailed Centro to find out. They confirmed that Michael Hall from Sydney had won. I think it's a great photo, but being a local finalist myself, would have liked to have been told if I made the national finals, and then who had won, especially as the winning photo was published in a Sydney paper right back in September!

Don't assume anything Kylie - they ran it so differently this year (and I don't like it!) that you just never know if the winner of the local one has been notified. Sassy may still win you a camera!! :)
I wish they did it how they did it last year - it would be a lot fairer that is for sure.
Maybe next year? I love Patrick's face in tha tphoto!
