I was lucky enough to be chosen to do a trial of MasterFoods herbs, spices and seasonings through
Vibe Village recently.

Today I asked Shayne to pick me up an Osso Bucco recipe base from the supermarket , and the ingredients to go in it. He couldn't find a recipe base for me (was having a boys look) so I decided to make it from scratch. As it was already nearly 2pm, I threw in a few ingredients, and the result was VERY yummy. My kind of recipe, quick, easy and VERY tasty.

I really think the one ingredient that gave it that little bit extra was the MasterFoods thyme leaves I added. Sorry the photo is not so good. I need
Lisa to come and be my food photographer for these posts!
This is such an easy, tasty recipe - don't forget the thyme though!
Kylie's short on time but not on thyme Osso Bucco!
6 pieces of osso bucco (beef shin)
2 onions chopped
2 carrots sliced
2 cups of beef stock
1 can Italian diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 glove garlic finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
and a generous sprinkle of MasterFoods thyme leaves
Put all ingredients into slow cooker on high for 4 hours (that's all the time I had) or low for 8 hours. Serve on a bed of sweet potato (of a mountain of mashed potato if you are Shayne), and top with a sprinkle of thyme if you like it as much as I do. Enjoy!
