How can I explain?

I was trying to find something that was nearly 5 kilos to show the kids how much weight I've lost - it's hard to explain to them and make it seem real. I didn't have 20, 250gm packets of butter, or anything that weighed exactly 4.9kg. It wasn't until I remembered a recent trip to the vet that I found the perfect example - Sassy! At 4.9kilos, Sassy is not big for a British Blue by any standards, and is not heavy to pick up, but as she reminded me in the early hours of this morning - she is a LUMP when she launches herself onto the bed and on top of me. So now it makes more sense to the kids, and has a little more meaning to me. Sassy however, said "no comment" when interviewed!

Now I just need to find cats of varying sizes in 1 kg increments for the rest of my journey :)
