Throughout this pregnancy, there have been a few major milestones, not least getting to 14 weeks and having the all clear from my CVS (due to my age and high risk blood results I had to have a bloody great needle stuck into the placenta to take a sample, and fortunately all was good!). I've always had 30 weeks in my mind as a "sigh of relief" week - a week where if this baby was born from now on, would have a very good chance of survival. I heard the heartbeat this week - strong and in range - which is always comforting, and so far everything is going really well, and I'm really enjoying being pregnant (ask me again in a few weeks!). Because of my gestational diabetes, I have a sizing ultrasound in two weeks, and another at about 36 weeks, and as long as s/he is not too big, can continue normally. At the moment I'm managing my blood sugar levels with diet and exercise so hopefully can continue that, but have insulin as a back up should there be a problem. I can't believe that in 10 weeks (or less) there will be another little Lithgow on the scene - very exciting and just a little bit scary too!
PS Thanks Lauren for the photo but next time can you make my arms look slimmer?

Wow that time seems to have flown...(probably not for you i know) as this next 10 weeks will too.... your doing great....and the arms are not THAT bad girl.
It's hard to believe you will have a tiny baby in the family again soon! So exciting. You look so good!
I'm still laughing. A friend sent me a photoshopped version of this photo with skinny arms - it's hilarious, but I think I'll stick with my "buffed"? swimming arms thanks Brad!
