For months Lauren has been emailing the Hawks asking them to come to her school. Last week they finally replied and said that unfortunately it was the education department who decided which schools footballers visited, to be fairer on them all. Lol was just pleased to get a reply! She's been really into The Hawks since her first game at Aurora in April.
At the end of that game we waited by the fence, and Alastair Clarkson came and gave her a ball and a kiss! It was like he'd picked her out from across the other side of the oval and made a beeline for her - I guess with so many kids waiting, they have to focus on one. As you can see from this photo - she was thrilled!
The Hawks are playing the Tigers today!
