Seven Sensational Situations

Lauren's 7th birthday - last year

Lauren is 8 tomorrow,

and we've been talking about what a great year she's had.

February...

We got the lovely Sassy

March...

Lauren began reading chapter books, and is reading brilliantly! She loves books like the Andy Griffith's "Just" Series, and "Rainbow Magic" books.

April...

Lauren went to her first AFL game and loved it! She cheered her heart out, and The Mighty Hawks beat the Crows! Lauren got a ball and a kiss from Alastair Clarkson at the end of the game.

May...

Lauren joined the grade 2 Choir, and sings beautifully, even performing in front of assemblies, and at special performances. Nanna and I were very proud when Lauren sang "Devil Run Free" for us all on Black and White (Save The Devil) Day. In December, she will sing at Tyler Village in a special Christmas concert for the elderly residents.

June...

This was an extra special month as Lauren had her first international trip - to New Zealand -and got to meet her sisters Sarah and Kimberley, nephew Quinn, and Grandad for the first time. Tracey had been over in 2004 to see us.

July... During July, Lauren got to spend lots of time getting to know Quinn after they arrived in Tassie with us in the middle of June.

August...

This month, Lauren got to go to the snow TWICE! She had never been before, and had only seen a little bit of snow when she was tiny and it snowed at our old house.
