....Gold Coast accommodation advice!
We are looking at going to the Gold Coast in the June holidays next year, and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas of where to stay - preferably a 2 bedroom apartment close to everything, and child friendly. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted!

Where we stayed on Noah's Make a Wish trip wasn't that flash, but it was close to everything which was good. I would just recommend going on a website like http://www.lastminute.com.au/home.html as that gives you pretty much all the motels etc with addresses, prices (normal and cheaper if you book them last minute) and facilities and that way you can compare them really easily. I would also just search for a Gold Coast Map to see where each motel is. We stayed right in Surfers Paradise which was good as it was only like a 20 min drive to Movie World, Dream World and Wet N Wild and Sea World was 5 mins away. We were also close enough that we could've just walked to the mall of Surfers Paradise which was nice to do at night etc. We had facilities to cook which was handy to save a bit of money, but most nights we would just walk to the mall and grab takeaway for tea.
Have you guys been before!? The kids will love it - its lots of fun.

You will have so much fun!!! The boys keep asking when we are going to go back again. We went at Easter time and the thing I remember most was how beautiful it was in the mornings - the sun came up so early and it was sooooo warm - like about 15 degrees at 7am. Just made you want to get up early and start the day.
Try Kids Holidays Online - they have a lot of great kid-friendly places to stay.
We stayed at Paradis Resort right in Surfers a few years ago - it was great with kids rooms and pools, and cool bunkrooms.
I saw the Paradise Resort on the 'net yesterday - looks great. Lauren loved the bunkrooms too! It's great we've got so much time to wait for specials. I have got a couple of places sending us newletters and specials when they come up.
