A VERY rare photo of me that I have timed to self destruct later today!!!
In the paper today it had our race times and places. I came 862nd at 42:11minutes, and Mum came 868th at 42:20 out of 2135 entrants. We were pretty pleased with that as we beat our practice time, and I thought we'd come about half way, so our result was better than expected. Next year - a lot fitter and asthma free, I hope to run it - inspired by Michelle who came 9th in 19:57 and is our netball centre for the Gunners! Nadine our goal keeper also came in just after us, so the Gunners did well (for a bunch of "old girls")! Mum did brilliantly and set the pace -a bit too quick to start, but we kept up a good pace.
It was great to see we helped to raise $10,655 for breast cancer research too.
PS I will be donating my tee shirt to research - how long it can survive hidden under my bed with the dust bunnies! Pink is SO not my colour!!!

You did so well!!!! Congrats.
It was good having something to work towards - still a L-O-N-G way to go though:(
Good on you both- 10k next????
I don't think so - I said to Mum that 10k would be pushing it! 5k is easy as we usually do 6k+ most days on hilly ground, but it was tougher during the race as you can't help but push yourself to go with the flow and not be passed! I'll stick to bettering my 5k time next year (hopefully)
