All I want for Christmas...

Darling Lauren has written her Christmas list to Santa.

She's getting in early just in case he runs out of "fings"-

"you know Mum, he somethimes doesn't get all the

fings on my list - but that's OK,

'cos i know he's got so many children to get to!"

This year she's asked for ...

"a toy puppy dag, a pupet, a skat bord and five Batelgon".

I happen to know for a fact that Santa has organised a

"speshol spris" for her as well!

I love that Santa is still in Patrick and Lauren's lives. We spend so long being grown-up's, it's nice for them to be kids and to believe in a little magic for a little longer. I know it's not going to be much longer, and I'm keeping their Santa letters this year, knowing it could be the last time they write to him.

We always remember firsts - first smiles, fist words, first steps, and so on. It's harder to remember the last time our children did something, because we never know it is the last time until afterwards. Now my two are 9 and 8, I'm making sure I'm keeping track of the "lasts" as well as all the fantastic "firsts" we've got to come!
