Gold Coast here we come!

We are going to the Gold Coast for a week in June, then heading to Melbourne for Mark and Jac's wedding, and someone's 40th birthday! Yay! We can get a really good deal at the Chevron Towers at Surfers. If anyone knows what that's like, or of a better, cheaper family friendly place, then please let us know! I checked the web for places like Paradise Resort and Paradise Island, and some places a bit further away that are set up for kids, but the rooms are very basic (unless you want to pay $200+ a night) and we can get a flash 2 bedroom apartment for less than they are charging. We need to book soon, as places are filling up as so many of us sun-starved Tasmanian's head up there for the Winter school holidays!

I suggest you try kids stay free or kids holidays online (just google them). I think most decent places are close to $200 a night though!

I have tried those, and lots offer cheap rates, but then you look and the cheap rates are for singles and doubles, and it's lots more for 4 of us! We can get a private, 2 br apartment with access to pools and all hotel facilities, our own laundry, kitchen and free local calls for $140 a night which I think is a bargain!
