I have the formula to make it rain!
Take two angelic children,
Place in a large tent,
Stir with one cat,
and wait for it to rain!!!
We have been without rain for so long it's not funny. We had a small amount last week for the first time this year and that's been pretty much it for months!
Well, Simon, Carmel and Clea came around with their tent last night, and put it up for Patrick and Lauren. So, what to you think happened??? It rained ALL night 3.8mm! I stayed up til 1am keeping an eye on the weather, and then woke at 2a.m when it got really heavy for a while. Meanwhile, Snora the Explorer (aka Shayne/Kiwi/concerned father) was sleeping like a baby - as were the two in the tent! The rotten cat finally came in at 2am as I left the door open earlier when I checked on the kids and she escaped into the back yard (we keep her in at night to protect the wildlife and her from being cat napped!) I tossed and turned all night checking on "my babies" all alone in the wilderness (OK - so our previously dry-as-a-bone back lawn) while everyone but me slept soundly! Tonight I'm thinking I'll sleep in the tent and the kids, cat and Snora can sleep inside!!!

lol - that's funny! I slept out in the tent with the boys so I could get more sleep! I knew I would check on them all night and also it was a night away from Noah who I am up a lot during the night, so it was a holiday for me :)

I just spent last night in the tent with them - if you don't count kicking and yelling (in their sleep) I had a much better sleep last night with them than without them! it didn't rain but it sure was windy for a while!
